To Jasper Winscom Date: BRISTOL, March 6, 1788. DEAR JASPER, As soon as possible go to the isle and acquaint Thomas Warwick with what is laid to his charge. According to the spirit and manner wherein he receives it must our proceeding be. If you see reason to believe he is truly penitent, we may possibly try him a little longer. But if he makes light of the matter and braves it out, I am afraid we must let him drop. Send word of all that occurs to Your affectionate brother.
